About Me
Spiro Papadopoulos is a viticulturist at the Australian Wine Research Institute (AWRI), working across technical extension, sustainability and industry support. He has more than a decade of experience in the Australian wine industry, including vineyard management and technical viticulture roles across the Barossa Valley and Adelaide Hills.
Prior to joining the AWRI, Spiro was Regional Manager- Premium Regions with Australian Vintage, where he was responsible for vineyard operations, technical viticulture, sustainability and vineyard redevelopment across the Barossa Valley and Adelaide Hills. He holds a Master of Viticulture from the University of Adelaide and a Bachelor of Agriculture (Hons) from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
His interests include practical vineyard management, vine nutrition, sustainability and translating research and technical information into practical outcomes for growers.
